Dwayne, I've heard those 4 thruths. I think it was in a book I have by a guy named Ruiz (if I remember correctly). He wrote about the way of thinking of a south-american indian tribe (Aztecs?).
I'm also having huge problems with the third: don't take anything personally. I remember thinking, as I read the book, how can ANYONE not take anything personally. I think I mostly got irritated of his indifference. ;D Now I see it as an art and I realize how much it would help me grow.

Hello Bluebird ... Since coming across them nearly 4 years ago ole #3 has been the one to learn much from. So often the one whom lashes out at another actually (& often unconsciously) sees something within themselves that was & or is. Therefore: the like poles repel. In others words: they give themselves away &, in fact, their accusations/admonishments/negative criticisms reveal who they are at least as much. No other way to recognize something in another unless we have been there/are there ourself, is there not? Am most appreciating of your positive words throughout this thread, Bluebird, thanks. This goes for all others responding with one another in this most lively discussion. ~Dwayne~

So often the one whom lashes out at another actually (& often unconsciously) sees something within themselves that was & or is. So true. Perhaps it's not always something within oneself, but something related to oneself? I was able to check the book I meant. It's written by Don Miguel Ruiz, the original title is The Four Agreements and it's about the wisdom of the Toltec indians. I think now would be a good time for me to reread it.

Hello Bluebird ... Since coming across them nearly 4 years ago ole #3 has been the one to learn much from. ~Dwayne~ I don't know when I came out of it. I guess I'm not taking anything personally. I wonder,if this is so difficult to comply with, then have I jsut ignored truth or actually got over with it ? Grave(as usual.. HAAALP)

Grave questions (in regards to #3 listed by me): "I don't know when I came out of it. I guess I'm not taking anything personally. I wonder, if this is so difficult to comply with, then have I just ignored truth or actually got over with it?"Difficult to say, as a great Zen master once quipped. Sounds to me as if you already unconciously knew of the truth contained within the words, my friend ... the [glow=red,2,300]I[/glow] that knows me when [glow=purple,2,300]I[/glow] know that[glow=orange,2,300]I[/glow] know that[glow=green,2,300]I[/glow] know. Know what I mean? ~Dwayne~

Know what I mean? ~Dwayne~ First of all I'd like to thank you for your time, not only you try to answer strange questions, but also do all that fancy html stuff for all of us I guess I'm not taking anything personally. I wonder, if this is so difficult to comply with, then have I just ignored truth or actually got over with it?" Actually, you might be right. Without a "question mark" I guess it would sound like an answer to myself(like this) I'm not taking anything personally. This is because I ignored truth and as well got over it by facing this lesson." The ratio is 50%-50% no one side to choose. No credits The strange thing is that this is the conclusion. Its 50-50 here, but is 50% enough for passing? Is this freedom from choice or chosing both or to demean choice itself? GRAVE

Grave, You are welcome, as offering balancing views is what helps us to grow as well as helps us to think & reason for ourselves. And actually, you wrote that 2nd quote, not I. ~Dwayne~

I saw this topic, but refrained from writing as the conversation appeared to sort of sway off the topic for a minute, but with Grave's last post he brought it right back! ;D So I decided to share my wish list! 1.) To have the answer to "What" 2.) to have the answer to "Why" 3.) To want for nothing materially. 4.) To grow farther in spiritual knowledge 5.) To be able to pass on that spiritual knowledge 6.) To find my "walks beside me woman" 7.) To be able to recognize her when I see her! 8.) To always have the courage and strength to do what I know I need to do. 9.) To be able to know what I need to do and for number 10.... For all the peoples in all the world to be able to take responsibility for themselves!
