Big realizations make one want to do big things. But which big things should we choose to do, since we are capable of any and all? That is where I am at right now. As I continue following my nose, I'm finding more and more that big things can come in very small packages. Even just dropping hints to people who happen to cross my path, with the ideas I sense they need most at the moment, feels very good and important indeed. I highly recommend it.
A favorite recent example occured the other day, when I happened across an atheist web site. It struck me that the site was extremely lopsided in favor of logic. So I sent the author a little email, saying something like, "I'm sorry to bother you, but I'm wondering if you could quickly explain why your web site focuses so much on logic. I for one feel much more enlightened when I use a broader reasoning that includes not just logic, but emotion and intuition as well. It seems like if we utilize only our heads and ignore our hearts and our guts, then we're using only one part of our multifaceted humanity to figure stuff out." The response so far has been when I'd hoped: nothing.
By the way, I'm new to this site. If you reply, please don't refer to Bach's stuff too much because I may not understand -- after reading just 3 of his books, I stopped; I got it. But I ordered all I could find, and plan to continue reading them once the euphoria wears off enough, or rather, when I am more used to it. (Wasn't that Luke Skywalker scene just perfect, when he first wielded the light saber? Perfect! Sorry, I'm still mesmerized by the whole "everything on earth is a metaphor" thing). So anyway, eventually I should be able to understand esoteric Bach references, and therefore feel more comfortable being more active on this site. I was just compelled to share the "little things" thought with you all for now.
