Here´s one for you........ Say that you chose for something bad to happen to you......say that as the years went on you chose not to divulge this bad thing.......say that when the bad thing came out it wasn´t so bad but you had chosen for it to leave a big dent in you......say that the only way to pugre the bad thing was to have bad dreams in which you try to get rid of the person who did these bad things to you....... Are your dreams aspects of other lives and if so where does that leave you when you destroy the person in your dreams? Or are dreams just part of the imagination in this life and they don´t amount to squit? Either way I know I don´t like my bad dreams and I would welcome any help in getting rid of them. But then maybe like Richard and his cloud in *Illusiuons* I´m just too attached to my bad dreams and I should just choose for them not to be there any more.

Quote from CWG..."What you resist persists, what you look at disappears" My 2... Whenever something is occuring in my life that "I dont like" then I'm obviously missing something. If it repeats over and over and I judge it as something I dont like, well, if I want it to change, I have to change. Usually the easiest way to accomplish this is to do the exact opposite of what I've always done. So, instead of not liking your bad dreams, try liking them and label them as good and helpful(in some way) rather than bad and maybe try welcoming them instead of attempting to get rid of them. This may sound bizzare but, if anything, it lets you look at your "problem" from a different perspective outside of your normal self which tends to repeat behaviors by habit rather than choice. LL

Not that this will help or anything, but as a 13 year old child, I lost my Mother in a motorcycle accident. After that, I was tormented by a recurring dream that I couldn't quite remember. It was truly haunting. The reason I know it was the same dream, is I would wake up hearing the same evil laughter and I would scream. Anyway, I wasn't sleeping, so my father took me to a child psychologist who recommended keeping a notepad by my bed. When the dream would happen, I would write down what I remembered. After about 2 weeks, I had remembered the entire thing, and it disappeared. I think there was something to do with bringing the horror from your subconcious and into your conciousness. It worked for me, anyway.

Everything helps........although it seems that I can only too clearly remeber the dreams I´d rather I didn´t but I will keep a not pad as it´ll make interesting reading when I eventually close this chapter of my learning. Thank you.

I followed my soul and decided that the dreams could be let go. I chose to let them go and they went. It is his choice what he does now...I am leaving my demons at his door and what happens now is his choice. Slowly he is ceasing to exist for me....this is helped by remembering that this is my world and I choose who inhabits my world.

Slowly he is ceasing to exist for me....this is helped by remembering that this is my world and I choose who inhabits my world. What a brilliant way to look at the world! We sometimes hold on to the bad in our lives because we feel it's necessary. I reached a point in my life where I decided that forgiving a family member was healthier than holding my anger/disappointment. If I wanted this person in my life, I had to make the effort. I had to get a grasp on who this person is - and accept their alleged shortcomings. See-they were shortcomings only because I perceived them that way. They didn't live up to my "standards". I had only to decide that I couldn't judge folks by MY standards, and the anger was gone. .....just a thought!

I have a hard enough time living up to my standards the rest of the world has no chance....so maybe I need to stop judging me by my standards and then the rest of the anger and the feeling of not measuring up will go.

I have heard that all dreams, even the bad ones, come to us in the service of health and wholeness. Furthermore, supposedly bad dreams are your unconsious saying "Hey, pay attention to this, it is important!" It has probably tried other ways before, but a bad dream gets our attention.
Dreams have many layers, so part of it could be something you are remembering from a past life. It could be your unconscious reminding you what you learned?
Also the other thing is that when you are dreaming the characters are each symbolic, but they are also partly you.
I had a nasty recurring dream a few years ago when working through a bad thing from this life, and it only ended when I embraced, not destroyed, the threatening character. I think now that this threatening character was a part of me that I thought caused the problem and that was out of control. Your mileage may vary.
Take care, Kitt

Gee, Ray! There is no little blushy emoticon to express how I am feeling right now. Thanks so much!
I am really enjoying reading all of you. It's nice to know that there are other people out there who like to think about this stuff!
