Wel its really strange. certian people whom ive either met of seen remind me too much of someone i know. After reading "ONE" it realize its possible that they could very well be an alternate form of the person I know. A friend of mine always wanted to be a radio d.j., he is now a financial cousult. There is a dj here in my home town who looks like, sounds like, and has a similar personality to this friend.....creepy man.

Strange isn't it? This happened to me the other way around, too. For a long time, I couldn't figure out why strangers stopped me and asked questions on my way out of the suburb I live in. For a while just answered them, pretending to know them as well, then last summer a car stopped by me and a woman started thanking me "for giving such a great show last week and how her children enjoyed it", (this was long after I quit my dance teaching job), so I told her "no I don't teach anymore, it must have been the other girl who replaced me". First she thought I've gone nuts, judging by her facial expression at least, so I asked her who she thought I was and as it turned out, there is this girl who's a carbon-copy of me with the same style, same clothes, and teaches dance at the community centre close to my place. Only her name is Nadine. Till this day, I get the hi's, how are you's, and how was last class questions, but it doesn't bother me anymore. Only it makes me feel like another self of mine could have decided to stick with the job.

That story gave me goose-bumps. The whole concept is so glorious! Were so lucky to see what this actually is at such a young age. I owe alot of this awakening if you will , to Bach's books.when i deal with people at work (a hospital) I incorporate this outlook, and it goes beyond to another level of empathy...Its so wonderful, and extremely useful under dire circumstances.

I've never actually met an alternate self....but I do know that they do exist! I had one with the same name as I!! We even lived in the same town in Western Kansas. I sure got blamed for allot of stuff I didn't even do! As I am sure he did too! Haven't run into anything like that for a long time now though, I think as one gets older, the likely hood of it happening becomes less and less. We truely become individuals with a bit of age and gaining of wisdom. hmmmmmmmm.....

I've never met a 100% alternate self, but I see alternate selves in many persons I meet. One has this characteristic, the other one that.

You're right, Bluebird. It's impossible to find 100% alternate selves, as those would be us too.

*LOL* Good point there, Edina! Okay, I'll correct it to 90% ourselves.
