"Our aims of being are to reach wholeness and pass it on to others"
1. Practical advice to the ´How´. How can we stay awake and learn to fly, show others that there are no boundaries/limits?
2. How determined is our life? Is everything up to us, our decisions?
3. How do I recognize, how do I know, who my PHYSICAL/SPIRITUAL/INTELLECTUAL mate is?
Does anyone know Gurdjieff's teachings? If so, what's your opinion of it?

Hello Evice.
Am familiar with Gurdjieff enough to know how fascinating his teachings are. He once made a statement that is burned into my heart & it goes something like this, paraphrased:
"Americans are good people, not bad rotten, but good. This is not enough. They are sheep, good sheep, responding obediently to anything suggested, but not steering their courses by themselves.
Which is better: a good sheep or a bad dog? They must show more initiative in their lives, to exercise their own wills."
That made a huge impression on me & one which obviously continues to this day. And not just Americans either, for many if not most people seem most unwilling to think for themselves, to know for themselves by & through their own experiences as well as trusting in their hearts.
Be a sheep dressed in wolves clothing ... strong & gentle together.
(1)- Best done by the example of our lives more than the words from our tongues. (2)- Yes, largely if not completely our choices, our thoughts we choose & encourage. (3)- When you know that you know that you know.

In showing respect to a Master, a quick Google has found the following, his direct quote from the paraphrase above: “The Americans are good people, not nasty rotten, but good. But that not enough. They sheep, good sheep, responding obediently to anything suggested, but not take course by themselves. Question—which is better: good sheep or bad dog? They must show more initiative … in daily life—all for exercise of Will”
G. I. Gurdjieff... & also another related & wonderful quote: “There do exist enquiring minds, which long for the truth of the heart, seek it, strive to solve the problems set by life, try to penetrate to the essence of things and phenomena and to penetrate into themselves. If a man reasons and thinks soundly, no matter which path he follows in solving these problems, he must inevitably arrive back at himself, and begin with the solution of the problem of what he is himself and what his place is in the world around him.”
G. I. Gurdjieff A truly fascinating man ... ~Dwayne~ Edit[/u]- spelin
