Have any of you read any books on Near Death Experiences. There are quite a few out there and I would like to find a good one to read to help me accept my mother's passing. I saw good reviews on "Light Beyond" by Moody. Any suggestions?

I highly recommend Dr. Moody's first book "Life After Life".
Also, in the related topic of out-of-body travel, ( Or leaving your body without almost getting yourself killed ) I recommend any of the three books written by Robert A.Monroe.
Interesting "coincidence" that they both have the full initials R.A.M. Also "The Ram" is the nickname for Ramtha, a 35,000 year old entity channeled by JZ Knight, who teaches "how we create our own reality".

Thanks for the suggestions. I've been waiting for some input. I've only read one so far, but it has been helpful. I've heard of the Moody book. I may get that, but will also look into the others. jeff

I also recommend the book "What Dreams May Come", which was also made into a movie.
Richard Matheson, ( Another Richard! I wonder if he has an A in his middle initial? ) a famous science fiction/fantasy/horror writer, did research on NDE before writing this book. He includes the bibliography in the back.

Thanks for the lead. I've seen that movie. I found it to be very thought provoking. I haven't seen it in a long time. I guess I should re-watch it and read the book.

I'm reading What Dreams May Come right now. The interesting thing about the book is the detail about day to day living in the afterlife.
It is a completely different experience from the movie, which focused more on the drama and pathos of death. It was also somewhat of a different storyline.
The writer, Richard Matheson, did a lot of research and includes a list of some of he books he read.
