Always, I have tried to recall my dreams, but last night, it was so clear (like watching a movie), full color and loud. : I was walking on a bad road and it was pouring. After walking in the rain and thunder for sometime, I realized that it is a dream because I am not getting drenched (I was feeling cold though) Now, I could see myself from the front and I went back into the body and stopped walking. And I said: "What teaches me?" The voice said "I do,I am your friend Omnah" "Omnah!" I looked up and saw clouds giving way to cool-sunshine, and I saw this icon in full color- there was a face of Red-Indian(an old man wearing eagle feather) looking to his right) and morphed at the back of his head was an eagle face watching left. The scene was absolute perfection. As if by looking at it I was getting all I ever wanted to know and all that I never thought of. But then, for some reason I woke up with a jerk. I don't know what does this mean(but I hope it makes sense). I don't know anything about Red Indian culture-Never read about them. And I don't even know if "Omnah" if could be a name! Fascinating ... perhaps you jerked from returning to your body. Tends to happen at times. Is a beautiful message you receive, Grave, & no doubt your thoughts will be filled with this for days. ~Dwayne~ Mitakuye Oyas'in

Interesting dream Grave.......perhaps the bad road symbolizes the choices you've made in life and with spirit, and the rain and cold symbolizes the consequences and responsibilities of those choices, when you went back into your body and stopped walking, you realized that you were on a wrong path and making wrong choices, hence why you stopped walking.....and the question you asked, "what teaches me" is/was very good. Rather than ask "why is this happening to me" you realized that there is learning to be done and that someone/being was trying to show you. So when you asked that question, it was the right one and the clouds parted and the face of your guide was shown. The other possibility is that you saw this poster at some point in your life, and your sub-concious remembered it, and it provided it as a confirmation of something that you are struggling with right now. Or you ate too much choclate pie before bed last night!! ;D Just kidding.....anyway you look at it, the fact that it was so clear and especially since you don't really remember your dreams, means that it was a power dream. Learn from it.

Really interesting! If it was my dream I would probably interpret it as JTwolf does. Yet I think dreams are so subjective you can't always rely on stereotypical, universal symbols. Perhaps you should ask yourself, what does the bad road, cold and rain mean for YOU personally?
How fascinating, the way you went back inside your body... Like seeing yourself objectively at first, then choosing to go back and try to witness life from within your physical boundaries again. Makes me think that the only way you can learn is by wilfully keeping your spirit in the body you chose.
I couldn't agree more, I, too, think you asked the right question. I hope the answer will come clear to you.
I googled "omnah", and found this:
'omnah = om-naw' feminine of ''omen' (544) (in the specific sense of training); tutelage:--brought up.
'omnah = om-naw' feminine form of ''omen' (544) (in its usual sense); adverb, surely:--indeed.
'omnah = om-me-naw' feminine active participle of ''omen' (544) (in the original sense of supporting); a column:--pillar.
The words are from a Hebrew Bible dictionary. Especially the last one interests me (pillar = support), even if it is pronounced "om-me-naw".
Another, perhaps a more modern (?) lexicon gives: omnah = bringing up, nourishment, rearing, training, providing for (as a parent)
Just some thoughts....

Interesting dream .....and the question you asked, "what teaches me" is/was very good. Rather than ask "why is this happening to me" thank you wise sorceress. I couldn't have interpreted it better. In conscious level i am trying to find "why" nowadays. When I search for "why" and find the answer, there would be no satisfaction in the end because the searcher "I" would end the role. When I ask "What" I'd be satisfied by the answer because "I"(the searcher) would still be existing. I guess the dream tells me.. If I have asked "what" instead of "Why", I want to exist(for now)Interesting dream .....and the question you asked, "what teaches me" is/was very good. From an Lakota perspective; there are 2 roads.
There is the Black Road which symbolically runs east & west ... therein lies all sorts of greed, hate, lies, boastings & pride, anger, jealousies & so on.
There is the Red Road which symbolically runs north & south ... therein lies all sorts of compassion, hope, love, forebearance, honesty, respect, trust & so on.

t-467 and alternatively t-084
I hear, I see and it repeats to make sure I remember when I wake up.
