I am sorry. Yesterday, I made a complete mess when I attempted to start a topic. I had just found this forum, so I impulsively sent a message as "Guest" and did not review it before pressing "Post". Then I tried to mend it, but only made it worse. So, today, I decided to scrap the whole thing and restate my question anew.
In my Brazilian, translated-to-Portuguese copy of One, Bach mentions that Growly, his single-engined flying boat, is a Martin Seahawk, registered N444A. However, in my American, pocketbook version of the same book, it is a Martin Seabird, registered N14B.
I have asked The ManTM himself, but, believe it or not, it seems he wasn't quite able to remember himself the registers appropriately!
There is something more important than the register itself: why is it that the same book describes the same aircraft with two completely different model names and registries? I wonder if anyone of you would be able to provide an answer to that.
Would someone please untie this knot for me?
