Approx 20+ years ago I recorded off a local radio station a reading of J.L. Seagull by the actor Richard Harris with music by Niel Diamond. The tape is now in poor shape and I would like to find out if any copy of the original recording is available. The reading and musical score were most enjoyable but I have searched all these years for a commercially available reproduction and have found nothing. Can anybody help? Yes, I know the music by N. Diamond is available at most music outlets but what about the reading by Richard Harris? Years ago, I called the radio station but they could not locate anything on the original broadcast. However. the station employee seemed to remember something about a disagreement between Richard Bach and Richard Harris and/or Niel Diamond. If true, perhaps no one wants to talk about the original production! If any of you have any other trails I might follow, your suggestions would be welcome.

I also heard the radio broadcast when I was in Dallas, TX in 1973 with the music by Neil Diamond. I also taped the reading but lost it over the years. All of the recordings that I have found have been with music by Terry James and not Neil Diamond. I am looking for a copy of Jonathan Livingston Seagull as read by Richard Harris with music by Neil Diamond. Anyone know of such an animal?
