No way I can't pick one ... oh, well I can pick " ONE" as one of them, but truly each stands on its own with its own uniquely personal meaning to me. At a time I would have said "Illusions" or "Bridge" (and I read Illusions faithfully about once a year) .. but I find my mind wandering often to different books, different quotes and for different needs/reasons. I have not, however, read a ferret book and unless I am missing the deeper spiritual interpretation, found I had not much interest when I picked one up at Borders several months back. I never thought I would walk away from a new Bach book

JLS because a very dear friend of mine introduced me to the writing of Mr. Bach initially with this book. Lots of wonderful memories.

All! because those are a progressive conquest of the soul. Any day is different from another and any day we have different question, some time we find the answer in the first book some time in the last.

I have to say all of his books are amazing and mean so much to me - BUT! Jonathan Livingston Seagull is my favorite. I has meant so much to me in my life and all that I have ever searched for. It is what made me continue the path I was reluctant to stay on because of fear. When i met Jonathan and then Fletcher, I was no longer alone, nor scared. It made me feel complete and safe.

what can I say? Biplane - for understand that nothing is impossible Nothing By Chance - it help to me to realize my flight dream Illusion - it often help to me to understand who I'm and what I'm doing here One - a world with 6 miliard people and 6 miliard world in one people is a wanderful philosophy Bridge Across Forever - My wife leave me alone and I found the reasons and my mistake. strange to the Ground - some time we only can to believe when we can see nothing too, only a red lamp in the darkness. Jonhatan - we are often more that we think In every book I find what is necessary for me. Not only in Richard's Book but I prefferred, because is a pilot and he speak the same language.

Bonnie Thanks Bonnie, some body told me that my english is too bed and I know it is True, to speak in english out of aeronautical terminology is very difficult to me. But I would to say this: in the real life often we let ours problems over the table because we can to put off till tomorrow, in the fight this isn't possible, any problem require immediatly solutions, renunce to fly because the weather condition are not right is a solution too. Before to know Dick Bach, all my thought in my mind was very confused, Richard street me in the right direction. Now the problems of my life are not a jinks to me, when it happen I'm sure that those are necessary at this time because I will learn something new and my mind and the spirit grow up. My favorite quote is: don't exist a problem witout a present in your hand (personal translation I don't know if correct). Bye Flyer (Renato)

Renato~
Somehow life just seems to make more sense when you read what Richard teaches us, and you seem to get those teachings.
Your English isn't bad, it's full of charm and character. I think you do wonderfully. Where in Italy do you and your family live?
Have a wonderful day, Bonnie

My favorite books are 'illusion' and ' the bridge across forever'. I read ' illusion' several times but I can't understand totally. I felt something that I was impressed by. I will try to read it until I understand whole meanings.
I like ' the bridge across forever' because I became to know Richard Bach due to this story. I had interest in him about a soulmate and aviation. I have read most of his books so I realize how much important flying is to him. If he didn't fly, he wouldn't become who he is. I love his passion of flying and at the same time I love his philosophy about a soulmate.
I have loved only one man who is my husband. I don't know that he might be my soulmate. But I do my best while we are living together.
I believe that Richard Bach emphasizes on family relationship. I keep his philosophy in my mind.

My favorite is Seagull. I had read it something like nine times before I was 10, and did not understand it. Then I tried again when I was 15 and suddenly the meaning of it exploded in my mind.
I also liked Illusions a lot. Actually my first heartfelt communication with Dad was the fan letter I wrote to him in '77 after I finished Illusions. He responded warmly, and we were close ever since.

Illusions - I was very closed minded before I read this book, it helped me to believe in the "impossible."
Bridge - Richard became a "real" person to me, and in that reality, he spoke truths and wisdom that I would not have "heard" had I believed he was just a fictional character.
One - He took me on path that showed me beyond shadow of doubt that there are no wrong choices, just different ones.

It's hard to pick and say this is my favorite, since each book is equally important to me, but if I'd have to choose the one that helped me understand the most, that would have to be 'Running from Safety'. I consider this book to be a comprehensive summary of his other works, plus some other ideas, questions and answers on the side that make you realize more about yourself and him.

The first book by RB I read was bridge across forever. I fell utterly and completely in love with its ....sparkling kind of love and beauty. I like pretty much everything what RB ever wrote, and from his later books the two last ferret books are my favorites: writer ferrets and detective ferrets. I love the way he takes an idea and creates a whole story around it. The ferret books give me hope that there IS a chance for a better world, where everything is so right you just can't comprehend things such as lies, deceat and violence.
