Hi Grave, learning rather than knowing

"Learning is not knowing....."
I hope it's not too late to join in here this seems to be a crucial difference pointed out here by the original poster of this topice. It's the same as the difference between hearing and listening.
Though it might not be fully understood, if you don't mind my saying, b because already some people are hearing, yet not listening. So they might learn, but they'll never know. Then again, nor will I. But I'll give it my best at understanding.

Loveugly is finally here! Please stay, you are needed!, and welcome!
"Knowing"=no separation, no division in the self with the self, the Godhead, the Source Within
"Learning"=using the intellect, working with information outside of the self for, and hopefully the purpose of ingesting, integrating the "finalized (always becoming) understanding" of that which we observe via our intellect.
One can always tell by the words another uses, exactly where that individual is in this process of "knowing the self". Some still intellectualize concepts, and believe that is all there is to "knowing".
When one realizes that allowing that which you believe to be true, (born of the intellectual process of examination), percolates down, is accepted by the self, because it resonates in the core of their being with the pre-conscious, God-conscious, hidden knowing, that has always been there, there is a great "flash" of understanding.
And like Loveugly says, this is a continual process, Truth in the human being, is not static, but ALIVE, and ever expanding, as in fact, our capacity for understanding is increasing.
Knowing self, knowing God at ANY LEVEL, feels like your cup is FULL. It feels like you have finally FOUND IT. This is the Source, God if you will, within man.
Why do we worry about whether in fact we are the whole ball of wax, when just to REALIZE the becoming of that which is currently available to us, is all that matters, is all that is necessary, IS ALL THAT IS REQUIRED TO REACH ATTAINMENT.
Loveugly, I have been praying that one such as yourself would arrive to help take it further.

Lizanne333 says -

My goodness, I don't even know where I am myself in this process!!! I think I'm on the sofa, but how would I know?
And your comment -
"And like Loveugly says, this is a continual process, Truth in the human being, is not static, but ALIVE, and ever expanding, as in fact, our capacity for understanding is increasing"
Sorry but those aren't my words, nor are they my opinions. And just for good measure, that's not my name either! But hey, why let facts get in the way.... are you a politician?

Lizanne333 -
"Loveugly, I have been praying that one such as yourself would arrive to help take it further."
Why do you curse me with your prayer? Who did you pray to? I'm not offfering any help in taking it further, I'm merely adding my thoughts.

Loveugly says again:
"It's the same as the difference between hearing and listening."
You have discovered that there is a difference. So as you understand the difference, therin lies the secret.
"So they might learn. but they'll never know."
One will never "know" as long as that which they listen to is not heard on the deeper level. Hear it?
"Then again, nor will I. But I'll give it my best at understanding."[/b
When the "Then again, nor will I", falls away, and you "allow" the understanding to occur, then the pathway has opened before you.
Little did you know that, other than Grave, you are the closest one I have spoken with, who is on the very edge of this Great Awakening!
Your words, sir, not mine. Chuckle, contemplations on the couch, and as one before me said:
"Indeed!"
So, if you understand the above, (give it time), ask yourself, "What does this mean", let it go, and it will come.
If you trust this, and the previous response, please, study it carefully, as within the words is portrayed the actual "path" into yourself, into awakening and eventually attainment of all of the teachings!
Forgive me if this sounds presumptous!

Lizanne333 - these kind words from you
"So, if you understand the above, (give it time), ask yourself, "What does this mean", let it go, and it will come."
I have a book into which I copy writings I feel are, (or may become), important to me, and I hope you don't mind that I have copied these words of yours into it. Sometimes words on paper need to be studied in order to understand their (the words') truth, and I am going now to spend some time gazing at them because often their deeper meaning will leap off the page.
In the meantime, thank you once again!

Finally! You have no idea, my friend! You have no idea, how long I have waited to hear these words!
It is truly I that thanks you.
Please, as you observe, experience this process, please keep us posted.
I am certain your posts will indicate where you are in that process, and we will monitor it!
I am so excited for you!

Lizette333
I was just about to "go ponder" when I read your last post, which has left me a little perplexed. You say "Please, as you observe, experience this process, please keep us posted.
I am certain your posts will indicate where you are in that process, and we will monitor it!"
but on other (rather more mundane) forums any responses I've been lucky to get have been from individuals rather than groups. This forum is much more esoteric - is it that you respond on behalf of others? It's not that I mind, my words are here for anyone to comment on if they wish! It's just my constant need to know! Thank you.

Lovelyugly says:
Sorry about that, was considering you, and noone else.
Here on the forum, there are those such as yourself that are at different stages in this process of connecting to their source. I don't know for certain if in fact that is how they hold it in their mind, but I "see" it unfolding.
If you have time to read all the posts of this forum, and they are available to you, maybe you can see the struggle that each and every one of us has gone through/been going through, considering every possibility of reality, and breaking through the "illusion" of what they were taught was true, what they then think is true, shedding these shells of illusion in order for them to find out in fact, THAT WHICH IS SO, THAT WHICH IS TRULY BECOMING TRUE for each of us.
I believe, and maintain, that the SOURCE of that information is the SAME (GOD WITHIN) in each of us, but the journey is always variable, and the light that then shines is distinctive to the personality doing the work.
But then, who am I? A Politician? I don't know, guess that depends on your definition of politician, doesn't it.
I now know who I AM, and what my Career is. I suppose you could say I am a politician, or a salesperson, if you like, it doesn't matter anymore.
I kindof like, hmmmm Purveyor of "Sight", and that would be IN+SIGHT!
Thank-you so much for asking, and participating. Others will respond to your posts, if that is okay? This is and open forum, and everybody learns from everybody else.
Lizette333 (I kind of like the ring of that!)

I lost my intention for a while... this was the first thing I wanted to make a comment about...from the originator... "Well, I think that there almost certainly is some sort of Absolute Truth, but that it's also way beyond human comprehension..."
Lokistail - could it be that, as you perceive the notion of Absolute Truth - then that Absolute Truth may not be beyond human comprehension (precisely because you perceive the notion) - but just out of reach for us. Would not the holder of the Absolute Truth want us to know of it, but not until we are ready. Is this Nirvana? (and by "we", I'm not sure whether I mean the individual "I's" that make up "we", or the collective "we"?)
