I think you're right. However, with light I mean the physical phenomenon of light. There are people who can't even perceive light and dark, nothing. So are those people free from the illusion, or are they stuck in appearance-world another way, with perception of touch, hearing and smell? To your last point: Stevie Wonder is an example of a wonderful soul who didn't care about his "limitations" compared to other people, but who found a touch with his higher self in a way we will never understand.

Maybe physically blind people have a stronger sense to see auras. All things have a sort of aura which distinguishes them from eachother...

Maybe so, Thinker! How would they sense them, though? Warmth, itchiness (feeling) or something else? It does not necessarily have to be color...

Maybe so, Thinker! How would they sense them, though? Warmth, itchiness (feeling) or something else? It does not necessarily have to be color... People who have physical sight and are able to see auras mostly see them as colors, yes. But who says that people who are physically blind can't see colors? I'm not sure if it's a proper comparison, but if you close your eyes really tight, you see can all kinds of colors in the blackness. Maybe the physically blind can perceive colors in a similar way, even if they cannot see in their everyday Life...

I'm not sure. The colors you see when you close your eyes do not always come from the stimulus of light to your retina, but of pressure on the visual nerves. You cannot perceive colors unless you have a sensory system for light.
If you cannot sense light, you cannot sense colors in the traditional way. You would have to sense light as a particle form of energy, photons, and for that you would have to have receptors somewhere, unless you can feel "light" with your whole body like we feel heat and cold.

(smiling) You must be a scientist... I know from your posts that you're an open-minded person, yet you explain everything according to set scientific standards. We KNOW that disabled people develop stronger senses in the areas they have access to. Physically bllind people have a stronger hearing and such. Who says that they can't perceive colors in a similar way "ordinary" people do? The fact that it's not scientifically proven or discovered, doesn't mean it's impossible, right?

I believe there is nothing supernatural. There are just things that haven't been explained by science. I believe that colors can be perceived, yes, but if your eyes don't work, why should you have to perceive colors with them? Exactly. It just needs to be discovered.

I think you made a great point....
I do think in a miraculous fashion...
that a person, who is physically blind, is able to develop a more keen sense of sound, touch, and smell in order to make up for that inability to SEE WITH THEIR EYES....
they depend on their other sense in order to SEE.....
which can facilitate INSPIRATION by those who are amazed as to how they are still able to lead productive lives.

Scorpio Says: This one means allot to me......It feels like a song whenever I recite it or read it. Hi Scorp: When I awoke this morning, full of allllll kinds of energy, and I wanted to come here and expound. And it just wasn't working, and so I didn't post, and decided to sit, and wait, and allow, before rushing in and possibly falling on my face, and on you and on everyone else to. I am needing to learn a different way of relating to people so as not to push them away, but to join in. I have found of late, that there truly is a gentle hand, that if I wait, and listen, almost magically delivered to me, in me is a way to be. It is hard work for me, and hopefully it will get easier as I practice such things. But sometimes it feels like I am in a hurry, like something is chasing me, and I have to "dump what I think I have" should it.......................and here I get lost, cause I don't know why I feel this way, and when I act impulsively, it is almost always inappropriate, and causes a pain and suffering. It is this I address, and need to get a handle on. And your poems speak to me of these things, even if that is not how you intended them. Wonderful, huh! -Lizanne

Whenever I write.....I always try to allow the words to create themselves...... and as you see, it's hard to just sit, and wait on things, and we often act impulsively for things we want to happen at that exact moment...... and when our desires aren't met, we become disappointed, frustrated, anxious....there's no sense of peace....... But good things always happen when we least expect if we just believe THERE'S A RAINBOW ON THE OTHER SIDE...... You're feedback is confirming that my path in life is being revealed right before my very eyes......... and your's is too

Hello Scorpio,
Meee again!
Ya know, and thisis (Isis) what I see.
I see forming here on the forum, some sort of team.
As we struggle to both be ourselves, and yet knowing that we need to let go of ourselves, in order to be part of this team.
And it has been difficult, and I suspect it is coming, that we will all finally board the soul train and that there will be others just like us.......and maybe we just ride that Rainbow in the sky.
I want to thank you and everyone, for bearing with me, and allowing me to make whatever concessions are necessary in me, to become one of the team!
Lizanne
