A full stall as a method of landing??? hmm..... From that pic, it sure looks like something that might break the tailwheel, bust up the front fuselage, and do a terrible number on the prop, to boot.
I must be missing something... sim network? A computer program??? Interesting.

Seems to me it'd be better to just put the wheel in the middle. And use some type of level-sphere inside to help balance on that one middle wheel while landing. Because it seems to me this would be a better way of increasing the likelihood of lovely landings, unscathed and unrattled. I may be wrong, but that's how I for one am visualizing how it should be at this moment.

Remember Donald giving Richard chills as he spun back around to take off in the tiny field which he knew that Donald could not land in in a Travel Air 4000? How Don came over the fence as some glorious condor doing about half of the airspeed necessary to remain airborn & not stall? How he looks at Richard with a smile & says: "Nice field, you found!" as Richard is stunned over what had just been witnessed? My, lots of questions, eh? Am not meaning to burden you in any way, cousin. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ It's all Illusions ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Yes, it's a computer Flight Simulator screenshot of "slewing" my Fleet into the desired position as it continued to rain & lightning & thunder. ~Dwayne~ Edit[/u]- Removal of 1-point landing link permission inquiry. It seems to me that one who seeks permission would want to seek permission the best possible way one knows how at the moment, to increase the likelihood that permission will be granted.

I for one was hoping you'd help me visualize one-point-landings, with your art. Is there anyone here willing & able to help me with one-point landings? Anyone at all?

So maybe it's all illusions! So what?! We're here, now! And I for one believe everything around & inside of us is here for us to enjoy (or be tortured by, or something in between -- it's up to you). When I first saw your plane art in the "Visualize a Fleet Biplane" topic thread, it seemed like that's what you really enjoyed here, now. I guess I was, and am, and perhaps always will be, wrong. Oh well.
Anyway, so yet again, I gave myself permission to use my own devices -- I opened good ol' Photoshop and found some royalty-free art and put together an image of a beautiful one-point landing. Granted, it's not a fleet biplane, etc. In fact, it looks kind of like a bee-seagull to me. But I worked with what I had. Let's see if it'll upload now.... Nope. Apparently I have to get a whole web site to put my scrappy yet nifty plane art on, so I can come back here and link to it....

Yay. Thanks to Yahoo, I think I got my own quick little site for my one-point landing image. I'm not sure this will work, but here it goes:

For some reason, that picture scares me...
What type of an airplane is that Cindy?

Looks like a Banana Wing to me. ;D Don't get me wrong, I think it's very cute!
...and look out for the sun chairs!

It's the "So what?!" which is throwing me a bit. Please enlighten me, if you would be so kind. More creative as well ... though to my eye she appears to remain several feet off of the beach. Thank you so much for contributing. ~Dwayne~

Did I indicate anyone indicated otherwise? I would continue forever, but I'm getting bored with this topic. Oops, I mean, I'm daydreaming too much here. Oops, I think they're currently calling this "Attention Deficit Disorder." Are there actually pills for this?! Oh dear. Well, whatever makes the doctors feel better, I guess. I'm going topic hopping now. Thanks for everything, Dwayne -- you are magnificent. (But you know this.)
