Cause I heard that somewhere. That they was really the same person. I like the King books better though, except "Running Man." That rocked!

They're not the same person.
Richard Bach is Richard Bach. AFAIK, he's never written under any other name. One of his sons posted also saying he's never used another name.
Stephen King, however, writes under Stephen King and Richard Bachman.

Yup, it really is Bachman and not Bach. Besides, I used to read Stephen King a lot and his books always left me heavy, quite the opposite of the light-spirited, inspired feeling I get when reading Bach.

Richards resemblence to Carlin is disturbing, in person they have many of the same mannerisms as well.
As to Richard Bachman - Richard joked at the CO seminar that he was going to write his next book as Stephen Kingman - they share a lawyer in NY and they both have laughed about the name confusion.
