Okay, so here I am, looking within myself, trying to figure out how best to find & utilize perfect balance so I can accomplish the apparently unheard of feat of landing my little biplane beautifully on only one wheel and not die. I would actually prefer to walk away unscathed and unrattled, too. But anyway, what should I do now?

"... what should I do now?" Am not one to inform any other as to what they should do. The very word should in this instance states that you are seeking answers from another ... even after the answer is already given, dear one. Can this soul do this for you?: yes Will this soul do this: no Does this soul do this?: no Is this soul doing this?: no As a suggestion, dear one, please consider reading all within this thread once again ... & again. And yet again. Seeds have to be watered & cared for & have time to sprout. Afterwards, they need nourishment & more time to mature fully. So it is with thought. To be in a hurry for answers may find us missing ones already here now all along. Fear, worry, hurry are all negative actions which cannot possibly bring about something positive. Am meaning this only with the utmost love & compassion. Have suggested where your answers are, cindyprism. To look to another for those answers is to be a sheep, a follower ... or the potential exists for such. ~Freedom~ You already have every answer you are needing & have shared where you will find them. Am wishing you well ... ~Dwayne~

I was hoping you'd catch that! Perfect! But if this still feels too fast for you, please do move out of the way. Is there anyone else here interested in one-point landings? Anyone at all? If not, I will happily move along.

Whenever we attempt to control or manipulate another then we lose the same ratio of control over ourselves. You seem aiming to attempt to provoke me by the thoughts you are chosing & encouraging. Hurry was not mentioned for my benefit. There never was a time when there was no time. Time is not the issue here now. Am not possibly in the way of whatever. You seek. To do. ~ Whenever we lay a trap for another then we fall into it ~Now, am here now "moving out of your way", cindyprism, though this soul never is. ~Dwayne~

Okay, so here I am still, looking within myself, trying to figure out how best to find & utilize perfect balance so I can accomplish the apparently unheard of feat of landing my little biplane beautifully on only one wheel and not die. I would actually prefer to walk away unscathed and unrattled, too. But anyway, what should I do now?
Oops, I mean, what to you at this moment does it seem like I should do now? Oops, I mean, what to you at this moment does it seem like one would do now? Oops, maybe it'd be best to say, what would you do now? I just want to figure out how to do one-point landings! And it seems I could do that faster & better with some help! And I thought I could find help here! It seemed to me like we all already knew that we shouldn't just look to others for answers, or just tell each other what to do. So it seemed like here I would be able to just more efficiently say "What should I do now?" Forgive me, apparently my sensors still need some work.
So, is anyone here willing to help me sharpen my sensors? And if they could do this at the same time they are helping me figure out how to make one-point landings, as Dwayne was doing so perfectly, I would really appreciate it. I'm so excited to make one-point landings!

What you should do is practice. But a one point landing is really easy. Actually, all landings are one point landings. Geometrically, there is always one point that touches down first, if you look closely enough. Then again, on a quantum scale, there are no points. So, maybe a pointed landing is not possible. But if you are talking about your state of mind, you can put yourself into a focused "one-pointed" state and then any way you land will be one-pointed. Words get us mixed up. When talking about anything even slightly spiritual, we need a common experience or commonly understood example to make progress. The example of a biplane with one wheel is a good one, because it's a situation that can't happen, unless you contrive it (or are flying a rare biplane that retracts its landing gear). If you have to contrive it, then you know a lot about what it means to do a one-pointed landing (because you are inventing what it means). -- James

Joy! Rapture! Thanks, James!
I'd love to continue figuring out how to one-point-land a fleet biplane, but I'm sensing now I should first figure out how to ask my questions better. After all, this whole time we were dealing with that, I could have been figuring out how to one-point land, so it seems I should figure out how to ask my questions better, so I won't keep having these hang-ups over and over and over and over, and so I can learn how to make one- point landings more quickly, and so anyone else who thinks it'd be fun to learn one-point landings can learn more quickly too.
So can anyone tell me what I should've asked there instead of "What should I do?" It seems Dwayne would be the only perfect expert on this, since he was the one who had that issue here, and so the rest of us would really only be guessing. But apparently Dwayne is no longer interested in this conversation.
You know what, wait, yes, I'm sensing I may know myself what would've probably been a better question: "What does it seem like at the moment we should do now?" Does anyone agree that might have been a better question? If so, can anyone tell me why?
By the way, Dwayne, you are and always will be completely and utterly welcome in this conversation. And if it helps at all, it seems to me like none of your -- our -- answers can be wrong. I mean, for example, it may have seemed that this conversation was dead with our little question-snag, yet here it is still alive, and I'd argue even better, since now it seems we're not only still on our way to figuring out how to make one-point landings, but also it seems we're figuring out how do to it more efficiently and productively -- thanks to Dwayne's responses, which now all seem to have been absolutely perfect. Coincidence? Maybe. But it doesn't seem like it to me, at the moment.

Hmm. I was hoping to find a response or two to that one by now, after spending some time scrubbing my kitchen floor, which always seems sticky for some reason.
Anyway, where was I? Oh yeah, one-point landings, oh wait, it seems I should first make a note to myself, to refer back to later if needed.
NOTE 1: Try the best you can to only ask questions in ways that really seem best at the time. Err at least slightly on the side of caution, because it seems to make things move along more efficiently and productively, even if erring on the side of caution seems inefficient and unproductive itself.
Of course, this note can always be changed later, if it seems like it should be. So now, finally, again at last: one-point landings by a fleet biplane! On this issue, I'm finding James' response interesting at the moment. Let's see, yes, retractable landing gear! So after I've landed, the wheel can slowly return up into the plane floor, so the plane won't tip over when I hop out! Of course. But wouldn't that potentially damage the bottom of the plane, since it seems like a lot of landing strips have debris? Maybe I could just land on pristine landing strips! But where are those? Are there any?
Wait, maybe if I strapped on some strong yet soft pillows to the bottom of my plane, I could land anywhere, and not worry about whether the strips are pristine!
Oh wait, my dog is barking at the door (again). I guess I should go see who (or what, or who & what) it is.

Hey Cindy, I don't think there was anything wrong with your question, if it was perfect for you at the time. The solution given by James is quite evident, yet it seems hard for you to come to a conclusion with it. Do I sense that right? To tell you honestly, I've never seen a plane with pillows strapped under it, but hey, it might be just my limited experience with planes. Btw, try Swiffer and you'll never have a sticky kitchen floor again.

Hello again Edina!
Yes, I agree -- there doesn't seem to have been anything wrong with my question. Because it did seem perfect to me at the time, and because it seems like it will have been perfect to Dwayne eventually too. After all, it does seem to have helped me more efficiently and productively figure out how to one-point-land fleet biplanes, which really seems to me at this moment to be the most fun & interesting thing for me to figure out. And it seems like he was rather upset about the whole thing, which makes it seem like he'll probably be curious enough to check back sometime, and see how perfectly he caused the conversation to move along. At least, that's what I could imagine myself doing if I were him. Although I may not know him as well as I should to make that assumption. But if I'm wrong, it doesn't seem like an enormous deal. We were only discussing planes & flights & landings after all, right?
Which reminds me yet again: one-point landings! I have never seen a plane with pillows strapped to it either, at least not that I can recall at this moment. But I can imagine it. And I can imagine that it might very well help with the whole plane damage problem upon landing. Which I think would be nice.
I'm finding myself coming back to the whole perfect balance thing. Is there anything invented yet here that I could take with me, inside the cockpit, that would help me with perfect balance? Because if I'm about to land on only one wheel, I definitely think I'd want as much balance as possible, and as much help as possible. Is there anyone here willing & able to help me with this?
By the way, I've tried Swiffers, and they actually don't seem to help much. I think it's because I just have so many pets in my house, spilling their food, running around all over with muddy feet.

Okay, since apparently no one here is willing and able to help me anymore with one-point landings, I will try my best to do it myself, like it seems little Jonathan Livingston Seagull would have.
Okay, it seems like the only thing in my experience so far that would help me with perfect balance would be those thingamajigs we use to make sure things are level, like paintings. I think they are actually called "levels." That little bubble in the liquid seems to go precisely where it's supposed to, like it or not. Apparently perfectly balanced within its own space. By natural forces alone! Yes, this excites me. Yes, I believe this would help me in the cockpit somehow, with balance.
The only problem is, I don't think I've seen them in any shape other than that similar to long stick. And if it's contained in that shape, then it doesn't seem to me like it would exactly offer perfect balance, in all ways my little fleet biplane would need to land beautifully and safely on one wheel alone. Does anyone happen to know if they come sphere-shaped too? Like those little snowglobes with the fake snow & fake people & fake houses inside of them? Anyone at all?

You know what, it doesn't seem now like it even matters if these level-spheres exist yet or not, because I can imagine one, and it seems like if I can imagine one, there could be one. Yes, it seems like I could just get one of those little fake globes, puncture it slightly somehow, drain out just a bit of water, and then close it right back up again! And there would automatically be a bubble in there, automatically working! Maybe not, but I feel satisfied with that possibility enough at the moment to move on to something I'm now finding more interesting: how I would be able to keep my eyes on the landing strip while also keeping my eyes on my little level-sphere, to make sure the bubble is perfectly centered on top while I land my little fleet biplane on one wheel, so I can land beautifully and survive? I guess I could have someone with me in the plane at all times, so that one person could be watching the landing strip and one person could be watching the bubble. Does anyone think that seems to be a good idea? Anyone at all?

Darndest thing: I find myself halfway feeling sorry for the little fake people in the snowglobe I so flippantly punctured for my amazing bubble! I mean I know they're fake, but I can imagine being one of them. And how it could feel like a veritable tsunami to them, my messing with their water for my amazing bubble for my amazing one-point landing. Sorry, I know that's silly -- they're fake! It's just water! Okay, I feel totally better now. I'm glad I thought that through, so I can get on with what seems much more important to me: my one-point landing. Is there really no one else interested in this but me? At all, here, now? It really seemed like there would be, in a Richard Bach forum! And yet, there doesn't seem to be anyone interested here now at all, even in the slightest. Maybe my sensors still need some work. Is there anyone here able & willing -- or even just willing at this point -- to help me hone my sensors? And if they could do it at the same time they are helping me figure out how to accomplish this incredible one-point fleet byplane landing, I'd really appreciate it. I want to land!

"... flippantly ..."
- indeed -
Have been posting more on the link in my sister thread to accomodate you, as this simpi personally has no interest in 1-point landings at this time beyond being a servant to what you ask for. It was there almost all along along with much more as well. May it help you to see all of the endless possibilities yet to exist for you to joyously 1-point land your plane.
Love is patient ...
